Agreement on emigration Albania-Italy/ Meloni: A reception center will be built

The Prime Minister of Italy, Giorgia Meloni, during her speech at the conference with Prime Minister Edi Rama, spoke about the areas of cooperation with Albania.

She said that the agreement on immigration reached between the two countries is actually a broad European agreement.

Part of the agreement is the establishment of a reception center for immigrants in the Port of Shengjin

"We worked together to strengthen cooperation. Fight against illegal traffic, immigration and cooperation between the two countries. A reception center for immigrants will be built in the Port of Shengjin, then there will be a living structure. The Albanian part will deal with the checking. This protocol that we are signing today has a political framework. We aim to be operational next spring. I consider this a broad European agreement. We must cooperate with a European spirit. Albania is thus confirmed as a friend of Albania and of the EU. Albania is an EU candidate and behaves as if it were a de facto EU country. I am proud because Italy is one of the main countries supporting Albania in the EU", said Meloni./ CNA
