The Minister of Finance, Petrit Malaj, in a press conference is providing an overview of economic development for the first 6 months of 2026, from January to June 2026.

According to data declared by Malaj, total budget revenues for the period January-June 2026 are 410 billion lek.

Further, Malaj announced that revenues from Taxes and Customs are 359.3 billion lek, 7.1 billion lek more realized.

"Total revenues 410 billion lek. This forecast exceeds the objectives set in the realization of revenues. This is a signal regarding the strengthening of the economic base in our country.

Budgetary expenditures, satisfactory performance, total public realization 357.8 billion lek. Current expenditures 96.7%, increase 21.4 billion lek.

Revenues from Taxes and Customs are 359.3 billion lek, 7.1 billion lek more realized than the 2026 plan. 300 million euros more than the 6-month period of 2025.

Enterprises: We have an increase in business turnover. Over the 6-month period, we have 1.3 billion euros more declared by businesses, with an increase of: Trade 10%, construction 9%, services 4%, and production 2%.

As for the revenues generated from the revaluation process, the revenues reach 5 billion lek.

"I call on collection and processing entities to issue invoices to farmers," Malaj emphasizes.
