Sentenced to 11 years in prison for drug trafficking/ Albanian with two identities caught

Following successive operations to capture internationally wanted persons, the operational services of the Search Sector (FAST Albania), at the Directorate of the Special Operational Force, in cooperation with the Fier Local Police Directorate, finalized another phase of the police operation codenamed "Fast".

As a result of well-coordinated operational actions, it was possible to locate, identify, capture and provisionally arrest, with the aim of extradition to Italy, the citizen Bledar Buxheli alias Bledar Çelo, 48 years old, resident of Lushnjë.

This citizen was declared internationally wanted by Interpol Rome, after the Court of Appeal of Venice, Italy, in 2024, sentenced him to 11 years in prison for the criminal offense of "Drug Trafficking", provided for by the Italian Criminal Code.

From this sentence, he has 8 years, 6 months and 24 days of imprisonment left to serve./ CNA
