Immigrants returning to Albania are encountering significant difficulties to integrate into the labor market. This is emphasized by the study of the Institute for Democracy and Mediation.
"Regardless of the factors that push them to return to Albania, they claim that they have difficulties integrating, mainly related to access to information. A part of them claim that they are temporary returnees, this gives a dynamic of Albanian immigration with entry and exit, they do not bring with them all the potential they have, the financial capital," said the researcher Elvira Fetahu.
The returnees describe the business climate in Albania as unfavorable for investing. In this context, the researchers suggest some recommendations.
"Organizing workshops, highlighting the skills they have to do business, financial initiatives," added Fetahu.
Returned immigrants also see bureaucracy and informality as an obstacle to their reintegration into the labor market./euronews
