Pro-Family Coalition calls on the General Prosecutor's Office: Investigate

The Pro-Family Coalition, in a public statement, expressed concern regarding the story of abuse that Luana Myrto has shared on television shows.

The Coalition's statement calls on the General Prosecutor's Office to investigate her case and carefully review all the statements given.

According to them, Luana Myrto's testimony implicates institutions that should function to protect children from external dangers. The coalition adds that the lives and identities of children in Albania are at risk even from the very structures that are supposed to protect them.

PUBLIC STATEMENT

The Albanian Coalition for Family and Life has been following with concern the situation of Ersild, or as she is otherwise known, Luana Myrto.

We, as the Coalition, express our concern regarding the history of abuse and the procedures allegedly violated by the LGBT Center, as well as the manner in which Luana was exploited, according to her testimony in the television shows "Review" on Euronews Albania on November 8, and "Opinion" on TV Klan on November 11.

The Albanian Coalition for Family and Life has been in contact with other similar stories of exploitation of minor children, as in the case of Luana, who have been gendered by interested institutions or organizations.

We appeal to the General Prosecutor's Office to investigate the case of Luana Myrto and to carefully examine all elements of her testimony, which implicate institutions that exist to protect children from external dangers. This shows that the lives and identities of children in Albania are truly at risk, as they are being gendered by the very structures that are supposed to protect them.
