The trial against Fatime Kryemadhi will continue with the summary trial procedure, after the Special Court Against Corruption and Organized Crime rejected her request to withdraw from this form of trial.

According to the assessment of the trial panel, the request for summary judgment had been filed earlier by the defendant's defense and had been relied upon at various stages of the process.

For this reason, the court concluded that the procedural conditions for accepting the new request to change the manner of conducting the trial did not exist.

After this decision, the case enters the phase of presenting final conclusions by the prosecution.

The prosecutor requested more time to prepare the prosecution's final statement.

Under these conditions, the GJKKO decided to postpone the next session, which will be held on June 30 at 09:00, when the consideration of the case is expected to continue./ CNA
