The incinerators, called the theft of the century, or the mega-affair of the century, have swallowed hundreds of millions of euros from the pockets of Albanian citizens.

This mega affair is being investigated by SPAK, with ministers and officials who have gone behind bars.

The incinerators, that of Elbasan, Fier and Tirana, have cost at least 180 million euros, where one does not work, the other is not finished and the last one does not exist, they already have their representative in the Assembly.

Today, the collaborators and beneficiaries of the incinerators have taken the direction of the Assembly.

One of them is Elisa Spiropali, who was proposed today by Prime Minister Edi Rama at the SP congress after the resignation of Lindita Nikolla last Friday.

There are strong accusations against many ministers and officials who are in prison for corruption regarding the connections with the incinerators.

Others are being investigated and many are wanted.

There are also strong accusations against the mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, whose property is under investigation, as well as his family members.

For months, his removal from the Municipality of Tirana and his confrontation with the law have been demanded. He is accused of being the actual owner of the Tirana incinerator. Investigations into the theft of the century continue.

And while this is happening, it seems that the incinerators have not passed without anything by taking over the leadership of the Assembly with their representative and the connections they had with Elisa Spiropali./ CNA
