Hoxha and Kumbaro inspect Himara/ Traffic, vessels, public spaces and noise on

Interior Minister Ervin Hoxha and Minister of Tourism and Environment Mirela Kumbaro have continued inspections of the beaches of the Ionian coast for measures taken for a safe tourist season. 

From Himara, Hoxha said that there is an increased presence of officers along the entire coast, to monitor beaches, navigational equipment or acoustic noise.

Kumbaro requested the cooperation of the border police in respecting the rules of maritime tourism vehicles.

He also asked all private beach administrators to respect the 2.5-3 meter distance from the seafront as a public space, as well as coordination between the municipality and the National Coastal Agency for the maintenance and cleaning of public beaches.

During their stay in Himara, the ministers met with vacationers as well as businesses that have beach bars.

Himara is one of the destinations that attracts many domestic and foreign visitors, and where the season has started since April./ CNA
