Klodian Tomorri makes a strong statement/ The construction company has laundered

Journalist Klodian Tomorri has made a strong statement, saying that a construction company laundered 7.5 million euros in drug proceeds through two buildings in Tirana.

Invited to the Task Force show with Sonila Meço, Tomorri stated that EU countries have all this information, because many of the Albanian gangs have been arrested and convicted in different countries.

"This issue has started to be discussed in Europe, or to worry Europeans, two years ago. The first were the English. Journalists from The Times came to Tirana about this issue, and they even wrote an article about the towers of Tirana."

But the more time passes, the stronger the conviction and evidence is emerging in the international press that drug money has flooded into Albania, which has financed construction in Tirana and the coast.

Let's not forget that during this period we have had a number of court cases in EU countries.

We had a process in Belgium with SKYECC in which Albanians who were involved in drug trafficking were convicted and in wiretaps it was found that they were sending large sums of money to Albania, which they invested in construction.

Let's not forget the case of Çopja, where a company invested 7.5 million euros of drug trafficking money in two buildings in Tirana in just 1 year.

"A series of tests have already been made that do not stand up, or do not come only from within Albania, but the Europeans have them there too, because of the processes they have had against Albanian gangs," said Klodian Tomorri./ CNA
