Improving road signage and safety, ARA 4 million euros for three regions

The Albanian Road Authority will intervene on road axes in three regions of the country in order to improve signage and increase safety. Three procurement procedures with a total limit fund of 403 million lek or about 4 million euros foresee specific interventions.

Specifically, it concerns three lots: "Improvement of horizontal, vertical signage and road safety equipment on the axes of the Northern Region Shkodra Lot 1 (2025)" with a limit fund of 196 million lek, "Improvement of horizontal, vertical signage and road safety equipment on the axes of the Central West Region (Tirana) Lot 2 (2025)" with a limit fund of 183.3 million lek and "Improvement of horizontal, vertical signage and road safety equipment on the axes of the Southern Region Gjirokastër, Lot 3 (2025)" with a limit fund of 207 million lek.

Interventions in the North

There are several axes where it is intended to intervene in the North area such as: Improvement of Vertical Signaling on the Milot-Hani i Hotit Road Segment (SH 1) 79 km. · Replacement, completion and refinement of vertical signaling. II. Improvement of Horizontal Signaling on the Milot – Lezhë – Shkodër Road Segment (SH 1) 47 km. · Refreshing of the side and center lines as well as traffic islands and arrows. III. Improvement of Vertical Signaling on the Qafë-Mali – Fierzë Road Segment (SH 22) 57 km. · Replacement, completion and refinement of vertical signaling. IV. Improvement of Vertical and Horizontal Signaling Qafë-Bualli – Ura e Cerenec (SH 6) 21 km. · Replacement, completion and refinement of Vertical Signaling.

Interventions in the Center-West region

The road segments that will be subject to the improvement of horizontal, vertical and road safety signage are located in the Center West Region and cross several districts of this Region. They are part of the National Road Network administered by the ARA. Segments where intervention will be made: 1. Bishti i Zhurit – Elbasan (Papër) (SH 7) 31.40 km; 2. Cerrik – Belsh (SH 58) 10.40 km; 3. Belsh – Kosovë e Vogël (SH 68) 15.90 km; 4. Fier Shegan – Kozarë (Murriz) 6.60 km; 5. City Park – Durrës (SH 2) 21.50 km; Repair of Bridge Joints: 1. Banjë – Gramsh (SH 59) 17.20 km; 2. Bishti i Zhurit – Elbasan (Papër) (SH 7) 31.40 km; 3. Dajlanit Bridge, Plepa Overpass

Intervention in the Southern region

The road segments that will be subject to the improvement of horizontal, vertical and road safety signage are located in the Southern Region and cross several districts of this Region. They are part of the National Road Network administered by the ARA. Segments where intervention is planned: 1. Tepelenë – Gusmar – Kuç 35 km; 2. Qeparo – Ura e Laskos (Kuç) (SH 76) 17 km; 3. Ura e Leklit – Këlcyrë – Përmet (SH 75) 35 km; 4. K/Bylis – K/Segmentit Ballsh – Fratar (Qafa e Kashit) 4.30 km; 5. Jeta e Re – Kosovë e Vogël (SH 68) 4.40 km; 6. Qeparo – ShënVasil (SH 8) 25.40 km 7. Levan – Mallakastër Border (SH 4) 42.80 km; Lighting: · Qeparo – Laskos Bridge (Kuç), 1 intersection; · Lushnje – Fier Shegan, at the Jeta e Re intersection, 1 intersection; · Levan – Mallakastër Border, 11 intersections; Repair of Bridge Joints, Bënçës Bridge./ Monitor Magazine
