The head of the Parliamentary Group of the DP, Gazment Bardhi, has reacted after the rejection of the request for a motion with debate regarding the findings of OLAF for the abuse of EU funds for Albanian farmers.

Bardhi told the media that this is an unprecedented act where the majority does not agree to analyze the report that 120 million euros should be unlocked as soon as possible.

According to Bardhi, due to their abuse, farmers have lost the right to be financed and it is being abused and they do not want to adjust the measures.

"The DP Parliamentary Group has analyzed with great concern the findings of OLAF on the abuses of EU funds for agriculture in Albania. Within this report, our parliamentary group invited the majority to come together to offer the necessary measures aimed at unlocking EU funds for farmers.

In an unprecedented act, the colleagues of the majority do not agree to analyze the report to unlock 120 million euros as soon as possible. Due to their abuse, farmers have lost the right to be financed. They abuse and do not want to adjust the measures. This is inexplicable, they had no argument.

The farmers of Serbia, Kosovo, Montenegro and Macedonia have the right to absorb the funds, while the Albanians have to wait for years for the funds to become effective", he said./ CNA
