The Orthodox Easter holiday has put thousands of citizens on the move this Saturday, causing high congestion on the country's main road axes. 

The most problematic situation is on the Tirana-Elbasan axis, where the Bradashesh roundabout is blocked by hundreds of vehicles.

According to reports from the field, vehicle queues have become kilometers long and movement is being carried out with great difficulty. The flow has started to increase significantly around 12:30 this Saturday, while the passengers are mainly citizens heading to Korça and other areas of the Southeast to spend the Easter holiday.

Traffic is expected to become even more congested in the coming hours. Citizens are urged to be patient and monitor traffic flow before setting off, while an increased presence of Traffic Police forces is required at major junctions and at the Bradashesh roundabout to ease traffic. /CNA
