Three opposition parties, PD, M5S and AVS have sent a letter to the European Commission, regarding the Albania-Italy agreement, for immigrants.

They have asked the European Commission to open an infringement procedure against Italy for the migrant agreement.

The prime minister of the neighboring state, Giorgia Meloni, made this known through a status on social networks.

Meloni has stated that it is shameful that the Italian parties are asking Europe to sanction the nation and its citizens for political attacks.

"PD, M5S and AVS have submitted a question to the European Commission if it intends to open an infringement procedure against Italy for the agreement on immigrants with Albania. You got it right: some Italian parties are actually asking Europe to sanction their nation and its citizens, with the sole purpose of attacking this government politically. A shame that cannot go unnoticed", said the Italian Prime Minister./ CNA
