Dumani: Sky ECC and Encrochat exposed the links of crime with politics, justice

The head of SPAK, Altin Dumani, said this evening that Sky ECC and Encrochat exposed the links of crime with politics, justice and the police.

He stated in a television interview that the conversations in these applications created for SPAK a clearer panorama of Albanian organized crime.

Dumani said that this is how the prosecutors learned the geographical extent, the activities they were targeting and the alliances between the criminal groups.

"Sky ECC is one of the pieces of evidence handled during the preliminary investigation phase. But also the cooperation within the SKY ECC is another indicator of the level of law enforcement they have at SPAK and that gave SPAK the opportunity to work with evidence of this nature, thanks to the data obtained from SKY, we already have a clearer panorama of Albanian organized crime, of the geographical extent, of the targeted activities of Albanian organized crime, of alliances with other non-Albanian criminal groups, of their financial power.

Also, the criminal proceedings when we used SKY gave us the opportunity to expose the connections of organized crime with politics, with judges, with prosecutors, with high-ranking police officials and with high-ranking representatives of the administration", emphasized the head of SPAK./ CNA
