Duman raises the alarm: Judges and prosecutors who have passed the vetting,

The head of SPAK, Altin Dumani, was part of the round table organized by the Civil Society, on the fight against corruption.

Duman requested that Civil Society cooperate with SPAK on certain topics.

"Civil society is invited to cooperate with SPAK on certain topics", said Dumani.

Further, the head of the Special Prosecutor's Office spoke about the vetting process, where he explained that today, as we speak, SPAK has prosecuted judges of the Constitutional Court, judges of Appeal, General Prosecutors, First Instance, Judicial Police officers.

But he raised the concern that the problem is not those judges or prosecutors who have been dismissed, but those who have gone through the process and are still part of the system.

"We have not been blind or deaf to the claims of vetting programs. We have registered criminal proceedings on the basis of our function, taking cause and serving as an initiative only from vetting bodies.

We are careful and we try to have certain persons in the institution do a filtering of the vetting bodies, if at first glance we have indications of corruption, we have registered criminal proceedings for the court. Regarding the means of evidence, I want to make a distinction for the criminal offense, wiretapping is not allowed because it does not provide for the criteria of the articles, we have used types of wiretapping or other means of searching for evidence.

As far as they are concerned, today as we speak SPAK has prosecuted judges of the Constitutional Court, judges of Appeal, General Prosecutors, of the First Instance, officers of the Judicial Police.
