The head of the Authority for the Right to Information on the Documents of the former State Security, Gentiana Sula, announced today that until December 2021, 2189 candidates have been "filtered" before being appointed to public positions.

Sula emphasized that 71 of them turned out to be collaborators of the State Security.

"The institution has aimed to extend its activity with institutional collaborations inside and outside the country. One of the sensitive things in public that we have done is the verification of figures. Until December 2021, 2189 candidates have passed before the appointment, promotion or to be elected deputies and mayors, of which 71 candidates have resulted in various implications through state insurance documents.
