"Road damage is a crime without punishment"/ Malltezi: Carnage is

Jamarbër Malltezi has reacted harshly regarding the damage to roads in the country, describing them as a "criminal" situation, where according to him there is authorship, but criminal responsibility is lacking.

In an interview with the media, Malltezi stated that the damage caused is not only infrastructural, but also ecological and irreparable.

"It is a crime without punishment. There are perpetrators, but no one is held criminally responsible," he stressed.

According to him, even the alternative route open to resolve the situation has been destroyed, which shows that the entire escarpment is not stable.

"This means that the entire area is not sustainable. Interventions have been made without geological studies and without respecting either the laws or the relevant permits," declared Malltezi.

He added that such constructions are taking place in several areas, accusing institutions of a lack of control and planning. According to him, the works have been carried out "at will", without transparency and without in-depth technical analyses, bringing serious consequences for the environment and public safety.

The statements come at a time when damage to road infrastructure has sparked public debate over construction standards and project oversight.

"It is criminal, there is authorship, but there is no criminal liability. Ecological damage is irreparable, it is a crime without punishment."
