The Special Court rejected the request of the lawyers of the elected mayor of Himara, Fredi Beleri, for the exclusion of two judges, namely Erion Çela and Irena Gjoka, from the judging panel, claiming that they were biased towards him.

In today's session, 5 witnesses appeared, among them a local journalist who interviewed Avdyl Rama, the brother of associate justice Arsen Rama.

Fredi Beleri's lawyer, in a statement to the media, spoke about the hearing.

He said that it is about an illegal process from its beginning.

As for Beler's position at the hearing, the lawyer said that the latter is constant in his positions, he only requires due legal process.

"It is an illegal proceeding continued with illegality from the beginning to the end. Beler's attitude is continuous and constant, it requires regular and legal process. His cell phone has been unlocked since the early days. If they were to watch illegal elements on the mobile phone, they would not be left without being taken. The cell phone is unlocked.
