Father Mondi meets with Silvio Gonzato: Religious coexistence, essential for the EU

EU Ambassador to Albania Silvio Gonzato held a meeting with Haxhi Dede Baba Edmond Brahimaj.

During the meeting with Baba Mondi, Gonzato reveals that he discussed ways in which we can cooperate to strengthen tolerance, solidarity, the protection of human rights and non-discrimination, while simultaneously contributing to Albania's path towards membership in the European Union.

"Albania is renowned for peaceful coexistence between religious faiths, a core value also for the European Union. I discussed with Haxhi Dede Baba Edmond Brahimaj, in his capacity as Head of the Bektashi Order and Chairman of the Interreligious Council of Albania, ways in which we can cooperate to strengthen tolerance, solidarity, the protection of human rights and non-discrimination, while contributing at the same time to Albania's path towards membership in the European Union," said Silvio Gonzato, Ambassador of the European Union to Albania./
