How badly Lulzim Basha copies Edi Rama

There is a great similarity between the political acts of Edi Rama and his journey, and the actions of Lulzim Basha. The latter copies the actions that Rama has done somewhere, in the hope that he can gain points in public opinion. There are many details on this topic, which are almost the same, and they differ only in the final result.

Because it seems that Rama has had the best results, also because he set a historical record, as in 30 years of democracy, he is the first prime minister with three terms. Whereas, Lulzim Basha has set another historical record:he has been in opposition for 12 years. Let?s take a look at them.

Before becoming Prime Minister, Edi Rama was mayor of Tirana for many years. Basha was also elected mayor of Tirana, after defeating Rama. Rama has been a minister only once, while Basha has been a minister 3 times. In this respect, Basha surpasses Rama, even though he has only made scandals when he was in office.

During the last election campaign, Basha published a book entitled ?My Mission?, a very poor book, which is probably not found on the bookshelves of those who bought it. Rama also published a book in 2011 after losing the elections for the Municipality of Tirana.

In 2005, when Rama was elected chairman of the Socialist Party, he began to lead with his motto ?beyond the left and the right?. He also ran with her in the 2009 elections. But the opposition was divided, and this gave power to Sali Berisha.

Lulzim Basha did the same in 2021. He competed with a divided opposition, and this kept Rama in power. Edi Rama became from the mayor of Tirana, chairman of the SP. Basha was given the post of DP chairman. Rama didn?t recognize the result of the 2009 elections, to retain the post of SP chairman.

Basha did not recognize the result of the 2017 elections, to remain at the helm of the DP. It does the same in this year?s election. Edi Rama protested in 2010 in front of the Prime Minister?s building, setting up a tent where took refuge the hunger strikers.

He said he would only remove the tent if the ballot boxes were opened and votes counted.

But the boxes were not reopened. Even Basha declared before the 2017 elections that he wouldn?t remove the tent that the PD set up in front of the Prime Minister?s buildings if Rama didn?t resign.

But the latter didn?t leave. On the contrary, he won the third mandate. Another similarity: Edi Rama ?killed? the SP logo, and in 2013 competed with ?Renaissance?, while Lulzim Basha advertised in 2017 his New Republic, a thesis which he still mentions.

Edi Rama came out openly against Albania?s membership in NATO, held hostage 3 laws for the opening of negotiations with the European Union. Lulzim Basha has come out openly against Albania?s integration into the EU through any of his political actions.

Rama set 3 laws as a condition, Basha sets as a condition the reforms, causes which he himself has abandoned, such as the Justice Reform, Territorial Reform, etc. Another point where Rama and Basha resemble is the attack on the media. Rama has as a strategy the attack on the media, which tends to make them unbelievable, especially when are published his scandals, so that they don?t have the right impact on the public.

The same tends to do also Lulzim Basha. We recall here recently the attack on Tv Klan or Euronews Albania. Edi Rama attacks the oligarchs. Lulzim Basha too. When he was in opposition, Edi Rama declared ?There is no election with Berisha?, while Lulzim Basha says today ?There is no election with Edi Rama?.

Both Rama and Basha don?t accept the losses, and try to create an alibi. Rama removed the ?senators? from the list of SP deputies in 2009 and 2013. Basha did the same with the ?senators? of the DP in 2017. Rama made an alliance with the ?traitors? of Fatos Nano, Basha holds in side people like Genc Pollo, the former ?enemiy? of Sali Berisha.

Edi Rama took over the Socialist Party, ?killing? Fatos Nano. While recently Lulzim Basha ?killed? Sali Berisha, his political ?father?. But, unlike Basha, Rama ?killed? slowly Nano, raised the SP and bring to power. While Basha seems to be ?killing? the Democratic Party.

In his political journey, Edi Rama is being copied 100 percent by Lulzim Basha. Including changes in the party, lists, expulsions, and everything else that Basha does today are almost a bad copy of what Edi Rama has done before. Even if Edi Rama once made mistakes, he is already justified as he is Prime Minister in his third term.

While New Republic, the book, running separate in the elections, and finally the loss are a catastrophe produced by Basha, and today the DP is endangering its existence because of him. Now Basha has to copy Rama in one aspect as well. Start painting or fantasizing that one day he can become a painter. Or he can try to become a sculptor, one degree higher than Edi Rama.

Because that way he can probably get the expected results. But since Basha copies Rama very badly, his results are disappointing, this has already been proven in the last 8 years. And how long he will continue to copy Edi Rama, we will see in the coming months./CNA.al
