Famous models are already known to have conquered the world market, either in modeling or mostly in the advertising market. Different companies always try to get big influencers, so that their business has as much credibility as possible and reach as many followers as possible.

But recently, a country, the first in the world, has decided to undertake an initiative where advertising through foreign influencers will be banned.

It is about Nigeria, which is already the first country in the world to take such an initiative, and this with a single purpose, that of supporting and developing local talents and promoting the advertising industry in Nigeria.

Nigeria's advertising regulator has announced that it will ban the use of foreign models and voice-over artists (where the voice of an unseen character is heard in an ad/film) in locally made TV commercials.

The Times of London reports that the ban will include all non-Nigerians, as well as a number of Western, white actors who have regularly appeared in the country's television commercials./ CNA.al
