"Waltz" of coaches in Serie A, clubs consider moves

Five weeks from the end of the Serie A season, clubs have begun planning for the 2026/27 season, especially in relation to coaches.

Fabio Grosso is set to leave Sassuolo after leading the team back to the top flight and into 10th place with a win over Como. He is one of the leading candidates for the Fiorentina bench, with Maurizio Sarri also mentioned.

Sarri's future at Lazio remains uncertain and will depend on the end of the season. For Sassuolo, the main name for a replacement is Alberto Aquilani, after the results with Catanzaro in Serie B.

Atalanta and Bologna, who are fighting for a European spot from 7th and 8th place, could decide on coaches based on their final standings. Palladino and Italiano are under consideration, with the latter likely to end his tenure after two seasons.

Torino, meanwhile, have not yet decided on D'Aversa's future, despite the objective of survival.
