Muriqi ends his time with Mallorca, new team revealed

Vedat Muriqi has decided on his future, choosing to return to Turkey despite interest from giants Barcelona.

According to Turkish media, the Mallorca striker has reached a preliminary agreement with his former club, Fenerbahce. The operation is expected to cost around 10 million euros, with the player giving his consent to return to Istanbul, a city where he and his family want to live.

The transfer comes at the best moment of the 31-year-old's career. Muriqi is having a spectacular season in La Liga, where he has scored 21 goals in 30 matches, ranking just behind Kylian Mbappe on the list of top scorers.

Although Barcelona considered him an ideal alternative for the attack, "Piranti" preferred the security and familiar environment of Fenerbahce, the club from where he was sold to Lazio in 2020 for 21 million euros.
