Juventus strengthens its position, dominant victory over Bologna

Juventus have secured an important 2-0 victory over Bologna at home, recording their third consecutive clean sheet and strengthening their position in the top four of Serie A.

The match started perfectly for Luciano Spalletti's men, who opened the scoring after just 90 seconds of play. Jonathan David made the most of Kalulu's cross to head the ball into the net.

The Bianconeri had numerous chances to close out the game in the first half. Francisco Conceição scored a goal that was disallowed for offside, and later stopped by goalkeeper Ravaglia.

In the 34th minute, it was Emil Holm who hit the crossbar with a powerful volley, keeping Bologna in the game despite the suffocating pressure of the home team. The friends only risked an attempt by Pobega, but without seriously disturbing the Juventus goal.

 


The second half began with an attempt by Orsolini, but Juventus quickly regained control. In the 57th minute, substitute Khéphren Thuram doubled the lead with a header from McKennie's cross, sealing the game. Bologna had a golden chance to get back into the game through Jonathan Rowe, but his shot was blocked by the post.

With this success, Juventus holds fourth place with 63 points, 3 less than Milan and Napoli.
