Albania girls team defeated again by Wales

The Albanian women's national team played the return match against Wales, valid for the 2027 World Cup qualifiers. In the match played at the "Elbasan Arena" stadium, the team led by coach Armir Grima was defeated minimally 0-1.

The red and black girls played a very good first half, creating dangerous chances in the first minutes with Doçi and Berisha, but without being able to convert them. Despite the good performance, Wales found the advantage in the 25th minute, closing the first half with the score 0-1.

In the second half, the Albanian National Team increased the pace and dominated the game, exerting constant pressure in search of the equalizer.

The clearest chance came in the 57th minute, when Ilarja Zarka, after an individual action, hit the crossbar, denying the team a deserved goal.

Despite their efforts and convincing play, Albania failed to change the result, with the match ending 0-1 in favor of Wales.

The women's national team will return to the field in June, where they will play the last two qualifiers against the Czech Republic away and Montenegro at home.
