Big news for Partizan, the AFF will change the field. It will be with natural

One of the decisions taken by the AFF Executive Committee at its last meeting is related to investments in infrastructure, as part of preparations for the finals of the 2027 U-21 European Championship, which will be held in Albania.

The Executive Committee approved the request of the Infrastructure Commission to change the carpet of the "Air Albania" stadium, as well as to intervene in the foundation, in order to meet the highest standards required by UEFA for the organization of international matches and finals of this competition.

Along the same lines, the Committee also approved the project presented by FK Partizani, which envisages the replacement of the existing stadium carpet, as well as the construction of two new training fields, in function of this major event.

In collaboration with the club, the Albanian Football Association will make the investment to transform the pitch from artificial grass to natural grass, guaranteeing optimal playing conditions. Also, one of the two new pitches in the Partizani complex will be with natural grass, dedicated to the training sessions of the participating teams during the tournament, and the other with artificial grass.

These investments represent an important step in meeting international standards and increasing the country's infrastructural capacities, confirming the AFF's commitment to successfully organizing the 2027 European U-21 finals.

Works are expected to begin soon, with the objective of completing on time and in full compliance with UEFA requirements.
