Banned in the World Cup, the referee is entrusted with the grand final

The United States of America has made a surprise decision by sending back to the border Somali referee Omar Artan, who was selected by FIFA to referee at the World Cup.

The referee was detained at the airport where he was questioned for hours over suspicions of possible links to the terrorist group Al-Shabaab.

Despite the fact that he possessed a diplomatic passport and a regular visa issued by the US embassy, ??US authorities refused him entry into the country.

After this event, UEFA surprised the sports community by immediately entrusting him with an important task.

Omar Artan has been officially selected to referee the grand final of the European Super Cup, which will take place on August 12 between the PSG and Aston Villa teams.
