Real Madrid "shocked", serious injury to the starter. Will be absent for a long time

Real Madrid face another important absence, as Eder Militao has suffered an injury to the femoral biceps of his left leg.

The club confirmed the injury, while the recovery time has not been officially announced. According to Spanish media, the Brazilian defender is expected to be out until April.

Militao was injured during the December 7 match against Celta Vigo, leaving the game in the 24th minute. Reports indicate a muscle tear involving the tendon.

The injury comes at a complicated time for coach Xabi Alonso, as the team is going through a period of poor results.

The situation is compounded by other absences in defence, such as Arnold, Carvajal, Mendy and Huijsen. The club has announced that the player will be monitored throughout the recovery process.
