Dizenjatori i arbitrave në Itali, Gianluca Rocchi është nën hetim për mashtrim sportiv, për sezonin 2024/25.

Hetimi përfshin disa episode të diskutueshme, mes tyre ndeshjen Udinese–Parma, ku u akordua një penallti pas rishikimit në VAR. Fillimisht, Daniele Paterna nuk ishte i bindur për penalltinë, por më pas ndryshoi vendim dhe sugjeroi rishikim për arbitrin Fabio Maresca. Udinese fitoi 1-0 me gol nga pika e bardhë nga Thauvin. Dyshimet lidhen me një ndërhyrje të mundshme të Rocchi në dhomën e VAR-it, çka është e ndaluar nga rregullorja.

Një tjetër rast është Inter–Verona i 8 janarit 2024, ku nuk u ndëshkua një episod mes Bastoni dhe Duda para golit të Frattesi. Audio e publikuar tregoi komunikim mes arbitrit Fabbri dhe VAR-it. Pas kësaj, u pranua se vendimi ishte i gabuar.
