Theo Hernandez's situation at Milan has once again become a topic of discussion on the eve of the summer transfer window, at a stage where the club's directors are evaluating strategic options for next season. After six solid seasons with the red and black jersey, the French defender finds himself at a crucial moment in his career, with his contract expiring in June 2026 and with interest expressed by Real Madrid, the club where he had previously spent time, but without being able to fully assert himself.

According to reports from AS, Real Madrid are looking for a player to alternate with Ferland Mendy at left-back and have identified Theon as a profile that fits their requirements. The 27-year-old has previous experience in La Liga, knows the Madrid environment and is valued for his physique, offensive capacity and experience at high levels of competition.

Hernandez's transfer fee is considered affordable by Real Madrid. In January of this year, Milan had accepted an offer of 40 million euros from Como, a figure that is not excluded to be used as a reference in future negotiations. Real Madrid is ready to afford such an investment and considers the potential transfer as an interesting case in a limited market in terms of left-backs with international experience.

On the other hand, Milan have initiated contacts with the player's representatives to explore the possibility of a renewal. The club has presented an offer to continue the cooperation, but with lower financial terms than the player's initial demands, who a year ago claimed an annual salary of 6 million euros.

This change in attitude on the part of the club is related to the good form shown by Theo in recent months, especially after the team's transition to a 3-4-3 formation, where his role as a full-back has gained more tactical weight and efficiency.
