Tension in Napoli, Lukaku's adventure nears its end

The situation between Romelu Lukaku and Napoli seems to be coming to an end, after recent tensions and the lack of a meeting with coach Antonio Conte.

The striker did not even show up to meet the staff and the team, raising suspicions of a final breakdown in the relationship.

The club is expected to fine the player for his behaviour, while his future is seen far from Napoli. According to reports, the separation is expected to be made official in June, after the end of international commitments.

Sporting director Manna hopes Lukaku's performances with Belgium will increase his transfer value. One of the main issues remains his contract until the end and his €8.5m salary.

Besiktas are also reported to be interested in the player, who are looking to bring him in for a low fee. Napoli are looking to close this chapter in the summer.
