Financial problems, Barcelona finds solution

Barcelona have officially announced the signing of goalkeeper Joan Garcia and are in advanced negotiations to secure the signature of Niko Williams for the 2025-26 season.

These moves have raised questions due to the club's financial situation, which according to La Liga president Javier Tebas, still does not allow for free spending according to the 1:1 rule.

However, Barcelona president Joan Laporta has stated that the club is now within this limit and can sign players without hindrance. He is basing this on income from recent deals and development projects such as VIP seats at the "Spotify Camp Nou".

The club also plans to reduce wage costs by offloading the likes of Lenglet, Pablo Torre, Oriol Romeu and Ansu Fati. This will make it easier to sign new reinforcements.
