Luis Enrique reveals with a smile who is his trusted man on the field in the Spanish national team. The coach has admitted that he is Ferran Torres. Reason? The player is the boyfriend of the coach's daughter, Sira Martinez. Speaking on Twitch ahead of the Costa Rica match, Enrique was asked which player in the team he was closest to. The coach of Spain had no doubts and immediately chose Ferran Torres: "Very easy: Mr. Ferran Torres. Otherwise, my daughter will come looking for me and cut off my head."

Enrique then insisted that he has a healthy and normal relationship with Torres and that he does not put pressure on him, despite the striker dating Sira: "Not at all, no pressure. I think he and I know the difference between being a family and being a coach and player. I think we should move forward naturally, that's all and we're doing well".

Torres has spoken fondly of Enrique in the past and said the former Barcelona coach is like a father to him: "I can only thank him. I consider him as my father. Since I joined the national team, he has received me in a spectacular way, he has given me all his trust. That's what every player would want." Ferran Torres and Sira Martinez officially announced their relationship earlier this year after the Spaniard completed his move from Manchester City to Barcelona.
