Fan Noli

The well-known journalist and researcher Ili Ikonomi has discovered some other details from Fan Noli's biography, which he has brought in a three-volume series. "Apostulli" is the first book of a new biography about Fan Noli, about whom Ikonomi said in an interview for Euronea Albania that during the research he also discovered a letter that Noli had sent to Ismail Qemali where he asked to be part of the signatories of Independence. .

"In 1912, when Ismail Qemali was coming to Albania to declare independence, Noli said that I will go to Europe to contribute to what is happening, and they did not give him (Vatra) permission, and no one knew what he was going for. . He boarded the ship and went to Liverpool and from there he wanted to go to Austria, he bought a ticket to Vienna because he wanted to meet Ismail Qemali's group, he wanted to be one of those who declared independence. He had an ego, he wanted to be one of the signatories, when he was on the ship he wrote to those in America that I had arrived and they were getting ready to leave, when he got off he saw the Liverpool newspapers that independence had been declared. He wrote a letter to Ismail Qemali where he says is there a possibility for me to come and help you, which I read as a desire to become part of the government" , said Ikonomi.

In this volume of 430 pages, Ikonomi brings a realistic and colorful description of Fan Stilian Noli, in the period that begins with his arrival in America in 1906 and ends in 1920, when he left for Albania. CNA
