The Minister of Health and Social Protection, Ogerta Manastirliu, together with the Minister of Tourism and Environment Mirela Kumbaro, as part of the safety inspections during the tourist season, visited the new health center in Orikum, reconstructed by the National Program for the Rehabilitation of Health Centers in across the country, which is one of 30 centers that are open 24/7 for tourists and vacationers during this summer season.

"The health center of Orikum is a center that has recently been rehabilitated, thanks to our program of rehabilitation and reconstruction of health centers and dispensaries, everywhere in the country. 360 are the rehabilitated and reconstructed health centers and dispensaries, where a quality service and very good conditions for doctors and nurses. On the other hand, this center is also a new socio-health center, because for a few months now we have the presence of a psychologist, where the necessary service is offered to all those who have problems of mental health, but also to identify cases of families or individuals who come from families with social and economic problems", said Manastirliu.

Speaking about the service offered in the 30 summer health centers, Minister Manastirliu said:

"There are about 4,000 citizens, vacationers, tourists who received services at the summer health centers, 30% of them are foreign vacationers. The work has not stopped and our readiness has been maximum because we have already strengthened the staff in the existing centers, but also in the centers that are open for the tourist season and there are about 170 doctors, nurses, employees and service operators, dedicated to perform this service. On the other hand, all our regional hospitals are reinforced and ready", said Minister Manastirliu .

The Minister of Tourism and Environment Mirela Kumbaro has evaluated the work of the health structures throughout the tourist season.

"We don't only have a tourism with beautiful nature, but we have a safe, clean tourism and that is why the task force is mobilized throughout the territory. It is important for tourists to know that where they make beaches, they always have a center like the one of Orikum that serves you, in order to offer all the security conditions", - underlined Kumbaro.

The Orikum Health Center is a reference point for the tourist season in this area, as it offers 24-hour service. After the reconstruction, the Orikum Health Center serves more than 11,000 residents according to standards, as well as many tourists during the tourist season. 30 summer health centers have been opened all over the country since June 15, where non-stop service is offered, to respond in time and with quality to health emergencies during the tourist season./ CNA.al
