Boys ages 14-18 should consume 11 mg of zinc per day. Girls ages 14-18 should consume 9 mg of zinc per day. Boys over the age of 19 should consume 11 mg of zinc per day.

Girls over the age of 19 should consume 8 mg of zinc per day.

Interactions of zinc with other medications
