Experts have conducted a long-term study with about 500,000 people on the relationship between sleep duration and the use of sleeping pills and mortality.

The observation published in "Sleep Health" showed some rather surprising results, with 8.9% of participants who took sleeping pills at the start of the study dying during the follow-up period (about 10 years), compared to 3.4% of those who did not. they took pills.
