New scanner at the Trauma Hospital, Manastirliu: We improve the time and quality

A few months after the installation of the ultramodern scanner at the University Hospital of Trauma, another new scanner is installed, which improves the time and quality of the Emergency Service of this hospital, which handles about 70 thousand emergencies per year from all over Albania.

During the inspection of the Trauma Hospital, Minister Manastirliu said that with this new investment, with the support of the Japanese government, the time for receiving the service and the range of examinations is significantly expanded.

"A few months ago we were here where we installed a scanner, which is the latest technology and provides modern examinations. Now we come with the second scanner that is installed in the emergency room. It is a state-of-the-art device that expands the range of examinations, performs 3D reconstructions, and operates as an angioscanner. I am pleased that we strengthen the capacities of the Emergency Trauma, enabling that with the renewal of the fleet of medical equipment we have more capacities for the examinations of those patients who come in emergency or emergency situations, but also for patients who are planned and should receive health care on time", said Minister Manastirliu.

During the inspection at the University Trauma Hospital, Minister Ogerta Manastirliu saw closely the progress of the work at the Hospital of Internal Diseases.

"We are at the end of another investment by the Albanian government in the Trauma Hospital, we are completing a major work in this hospital, the Internal Hospital, together with the consultation structure. Next week, I believe, we will open this hospital, which will serve for internal diseases, but will also increase the treatment capacities of patients in the Trauma Hospital", said Manastirliu.

The Ministry of Health and Social Protection is investing in the renovation and strengthening of health structures with high-tech biomedical equipment. Four CT Scanners, 9 x-rays, 1 angiograph, 4 DEXA devices, echo, monitors and other biomedical equipment, worth 4.2 million euros, have been installed and are already operational in hospitals from north to south./ CNA.al
