The Philoxenia International Tourism Fair has successfully ended, in Thessaloniki, Greece, where Albania was represented this year with the southeast. An initiative of the Korça District Council, which brought together the six municipalities of the southeast, that presented their tourist package promoting the most special attractions that each municipality has.

CNA has been following the developments in this fair for three consecutive days, where there have been many meetings with tourist operators and a high interest of different countries of the world to visit Albania and especially Korça and other districts of the district has been noticed.

On the last day of Philoxenia, the atmosphere became quite pleasant and beautiful with the participation of the Kolonje Saze Group and the Devolli Dancers Group who performed for all the participants and gave other colors to this activity.

With the sounds of the clarinet by the master Alex Xhelili and the rest of the group, with the traditional songs of the Kolonja area, as well as with the devolliche dance performed by the Devolli group, foreigners had the opportunity to enjoy the warm atmosphere and get to know the artistic side of these two areas.

For the clarinet master, Aleks Xhelili, participation in this magnificent event has a great value, to highlight the rich spiritual heritage of the Albanian people, with wonderful songs and dances. Today, Xhelili felt an extraordinary satisfaction at the Fair organized in Thessaloniki, expressing that he is proud to be Albanian.

The three days have been intense and with fruitful meetings, which have already brought another work that must be followed in the following days and months to finalize an influx of tourists in the region.

"It was three intense and enthusiastic days, filled with non-stop activity. The interest in the stand of the Korça region and in the activities we carried out during these days was extraordinary. Tour operators from almost all over the world were interested in the tourist product of the Korca region. The meetings were very fruitful. This is a work that must be followed every day and in the following months, in order to be finalized with a greater tourist flow in our region. Such work requires commitment and I want to especially thank the municipalities and tourism businesses of the Korça region, which have been dedicated to promoting their products and presenting the tourism potential of the region as best as possible."

The International Tourism Fair "Philoxenia" is the largest event of its kind that took place for the 39th time in Thessaloniki, Greece. This event aims to present different countries of the world to increase the number of visitors in each country, and to introduce them to the most beautiful areas. Albania was represented this edition for the second time, with the region of Korça where all its municipalities promoted the most beautiful tourist attractions, including cultural and historical heritage, hotels and guesthouses, tourist villages and destinations of the district that every year and more are attracting the attention of visitors./ CNA TV
