In the Plan area, in the administrative unit of Pult, 79 martyrs of the 1915 war were commemorated. This came through festive motives. The Cherry Festival continues to be celebrated since 1940, in July, a tradition rooted and supported over the years by the residents of the area, and recently by the Municipality of Shkodra.
Its commemoration in mid-July is linked to the 110th anniversary of the Planit War against the Serbian-Montenegrin invaders. The location chosen was Gjuraj i Planit, where the memorial to the Martyrs of Planit and Dukuagjin, who fell in battle against the Montenegrin invaders in 1915, stands. In their speech, the historians focused on the importance of that year's war and the sacrifice of young people to give their lives.
"The reason we celebrate today is that Plan had a great war, which it managed to survive. Plan has sons and daughters who are moving forward. All of you, fortunately, have come to a place that is blessed by God and forgotten by the state. Let's make a summary of those hot days of July 1915. Montenegro, dissatisfied with the decision of the great forces, first set its sights on Shkodra, which it took without any difficulty. But what would ensure a sure victory was the securing of the eastern flank by Dukagjini, disarming the people. Because Dukagjini has been close to Shkodra whenever it was in danger. The first military expedition began on July 2, 1915 and ended with the complete defeat of the Montenegrin army. The Montenegrin soldiers crossed the bridge, kneeling under the rifles of the Shaljans", said historian Vilson Peshkaj.

"Imagine a day of July 15, 1915. Imagine smoke and flames in the country. Thousands of livestock and houses damaged. It is a pleasure that you have come to remember them. They have done the hard work, we have the easy one. It is our duty to remember them generation after generation. I have prepared a book, there are studies and historical documents about the Plan. This book highlights the history of the Plan", said the teacher of the area Gjelosh Farka.
"This is an important day to remember the martyrs of the Plan," said Aleksandër Rroku, administrator of the Pult unit.
Political representatives were also present, who said that history must be remembered so that it does not repeat itself.
"It is an honor, a privilege for me, to be here before you to commemorate the 110th anniversary of the Plan War. Gratitude for the 79 martyrs, men and boys of Plan who gave their lives for the country. History must be remembered so that it does not repeat itself," said Kliti Hoti, an elected member of parliament for the Democratic Party.

"This event that happened 110 years ago has special importance, not only for the existence of these lands, but also for the nation. Because we are on the border with Montenegro and thanks to their resistance, these are the borders that we have today. If yesterday the war was fought with weapons, today it is fought with the economy. Two issues concern me: the lack of infrastructure and schools here," said Ted Kopliku, member of the leadership of the Shkodër Democratic Party.
"It is an honor, pleasure and high appreciation for each of us who is here today to remember one of the most important events for Dukagjin. My heart aches when I see so many young people remembering the martyrs and organizing such celebrations. Let us remember and honor the martyrs with respect," said Marjan Ndërshtiqaj, member of the Shkodër SP.
An artistic program, the promotion of the area's resources and the exploration of natural beauties, and a traditional food products fair are activities that enrich this event.

Let's take a look at the resources of Pulti, its historical and heritage values.
Pulti has 7 villages, with about 3500 inhabitants. In winter, until 5 years ago, there were 900 inhabitants. No village has been abandoned despite the infrastructure. In the village of Brucaj, there are 15 families without electricity even today, but they have not abandoned the village. Today, 50 families are still residents in Pulti, winter and summer.

Pulti has 2,200 hectares of chestnut trees, more than Tropoja, Shkreli, Shala and Shoshi. They are overcoming the disease, but they need pruning.
The country is rich in forest fruits, corn, potatoes, tomatoes, everything organic, over 800 m above sea level.

But on the other hand, there are no shortage of problems. There are significant deficiencies in basic services, such as road infrastructure, schools, health centers, etc., deficiencies that have made it necessary to leave and abandon Pulti.
Such activities keep alive the Pulti area, respect for the glorious history of old Pulti and the martyrs of Plan, with the hope that the government will turn its eyes towards this area blessed by God and forgotten by the hand of man. /CNA
