Velipoja, a favorite this season/ Vacationers appreciate the beach, hospitality

Every year, thousands of vacationers from all over Albania and the region frequent the coast of Velipoja to enjoy nature, traditional food, and the characteristic hospitality that distinguishes this Adriatic gem.

This season, Velipoja comes even more improved, offering 34 public spaces along the coastline.

Vacationers, who have been frequenting this beach for years, have welcomed this change.

" Velipoja is a very good beach. For me it is the healthiest beach," said a vacationer.

"Public spaces have improved a lot in Velipojë because I have been coming to this beach for 16 years in a row," said another vacationer.

"For pensioners and other social classes, the public spaces here in Velipojë this year are very good. Why pay 5 or 7 euros for a tent, why not use the sea for us too, it's great that there are spaces for us. We like it a lot and wouldn't trade Velipojë for anything. Even the people from Shkodër who come, why pay for a tent when they can come with their families and make a beach and use it, this is a wealth from God that he has given us. The food here is very good, the water is clean," said another vacationer.

"Velipoja seems better and better to me every time. The good knows that there is no limit, but it is very good. I like it and this is the third year I have been coming to Velipoja," said the vacationer.

"The public spaces are bigger this year and we are staying more freely. Velipoja is very good. We need places for us too because not everyone has money for paid tents and cannot go there," said the tourist.

"I really like Velipoja and I really enjoy coming here. It's a very beautiful place, I like the games for us children, the very good water that I like," declared the tourist.

Meanwhile, the Shëngjin–Velipoja panoramic road has brought another added value, making the area more accessible and connected to the northern tourist network.

Since June, Velipoja has seen a significant increase in the flow of vacationers and reservations in the hotel sector, turning this coastal gem into a true magnet for Albanian summer tourism./ CNA
