Intervention in the underground network/ “Don Bosko” Street in

Works to improve the infrastructure on “Don Bosko” Street in Shkodra have started this week. The intervention has begun with the systematization and rehabilitation of the underground sewer network and collector, as well as the construction of pedestrian sidewalks, an important step towards increasing safety and functionality in this area with high traffic intensity.

"Works have begun on 'Don Bosko' Street for the complete replacement of the white water pipes. This is a project of the Shkodra Municipality in cooperation with the regional water supply and sewage company and the Directorate of Public Services. We are working with extended hours to make it possible to complete the works as soon as possible and clear the road, so that they do not become an obstacle for cars," said Donika Kushi, Head of KUB, Shkodra Water Supply.

Kushi said that these works in the Don Bosko area were extremely necessary, because the network has been depreciated over the years.

"Replacing these pipes was very necessary because the network has been damaged over the years by many interventions or tree roots, and the complete replacement of these pipes is a great service for the community," said Kushi.      

Over the coming days, this road segment will be transformed into an accessible space for all citizens of Shkodra./ CNA
