The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, reacted this afternoon after the murder of judge Astrit Kalaja.
Through a post on social media, Berisha condemned the act that occurred in the courtroom.
Berisha has demanded the strictest legal punishment for the perpetrator of this serious crime.
"Appeals Judge Astrit Kalaja is executed by gunfire.
The media reports that an armed person shot and killed the acting Court of Appeals Judge Astrit Kalaja in the courtroom, who died from his wounds shortly after.
Expressing my deepest condolences to the family, friends and relatives of the late Judge Kalaja, I condemn with the utmost force the ugly and criminal act against the judge in the courtroom, evidence of the control of order by crime and the great insecurity that exists in the country today.
