Democratic Party MP Jorida Tabaku delivered her speech at today's opposition protest. Tabaku, focusing on the toppling of the statue of Enver Hoxha, said that that day showed that all dictators fall.

The democrat said that today, after 35 years, the people are in the square facing a reborn autocracy, where the former system of violence has been replaced with the dictatorship of corruption.

Tabaku further stated that the consequences of corruption in Albania are dramatic, with industry and small businesses heading for bankruptcy. The Democratic MP stated that this is not the Albania that Albanians deserve, but rather the one Rama has created.

" The fall of the dictator's monument was a turning point, a triumph of a great truth. All dictators fall. Light always finds its way. Freedom always triumphs even in the darkness of dictatorship. People may be afraid for a while but in the end they find the strength and courage to overthrow the power of one man. That day the Albanians found the courage to challenge them and say enough.

35 years later, we are in the square facing a reborn autocracy. The former system of violence has today been replaced by the dictatorship of corruption. Corruption is the ideology of today's reaction. The consequences of the violence of corruption are dramatic. Industry, small business are bankrupt. The corrupt make laws to protect each other. This is not the Albania that Albanians deserve, this is what Rama has built. It is oppressing the middle class. For the first time in 35 years, Albania today no longer produces.

This is a battle for the Albania of Albanians, not of clients. On this anniversary we must be stronger than ever. Within the opposition there have been things that have happened to us, but today we must say that the things that divide us are never greater than those that unite us. There is no other way to save Albania, there is no time to waste. We need unity, only together can we return freedom , "said Tabaku.
