"Albania is ready"/ Rama: Europe needs courage, to admit that enlargement is not charity

Prime Minister Edi Rama, present at the Annual Conference of the Eastern Bloc Commission in Berlin, also spoke about EU enlargement. Rama said that today Europe needs the courage to accept that enlargement is not about charity, but about innovation.

Regarding Albania, the Prime Minister stated that our country is ready to move forward, to contribute. Rama stated that the question that arises is whether Europe is ready to complete the unfinished work of its history.

The Prime Minister stated that history rarely follows perfect procedures, it expects ready leadership.

" In our era, freedom of expression is confused with freedom of distribution. Europe today needs courage to accept that enlargement is not charity, but innovation. Albania is ready to move forward, to contribute. The question that arises is whether Europe is ready to complete the unfinished work of its history. History rarely waits for perfect procedures. It waits for ready leadership ," said Rama.
