"I didn't take away your mandate, take it away through elections"/ MP Koçeku 'challenges' critical socialists

MP Marjana Koçeku has responded today to some critical positions made by many socialists, after announcing on Sunday her decision to leave the Socialist Party Parliamentary Group and emerge as an independent MP.

Through a post on social media, Koçek states that he did not take the mandate from the Socialists.

Koçek also shared an open challenge to the SP, stating that he could win the elections even without the party's help, through early elections.

"I did not take away your mandate as an MP. You took mine, for 10 months in a row. Now the mandate has come to its place. If you are so sure that I will not win without you and you have a full 83 mandates, then dissolve the parliament, go to early elections and measure the strength of who wins what. This time I will take my dear goat with me, along with the sharp shirt, and I will go down to Tirana to run. Before I come, maybe I will get permission from my mountaineers to speak the standard language", - writes the MP. /CNA
