At today's meeting, the Council of Ministers approved the composition and tasks of the National Search and Rescue Committee. According to the decision, this council will be chaired by the National Search and Rescue Coordinator. It will include representatives of the Armed Forces, ministries and emergency institutions.

The Council of Ministers' Decision also defines the powers and duties of the committee.

DCM :

"The Council of Ministers has approved the composition and tasks of the National Search and Rescue Committee, which is chaired by the National Search and Rescue Coordinator and includes representatives of the Armed Forces, key ministries, public authorities and emergency institutions.
The main tasks of the Committee:
• Drafting and reviewing national policies and strategies in the field of search and rescue.
• Cooperation with civil, military authorities and international organizations for effective SAR operations.
• Monitoring the implementation of policies to increase the efficiency of operations.
• Promoting safety and training for personnel and citizens.
The Committee meetings will be held at least twice a year and as needed in cases of emergencies. The Technical Secretary ensures the organization and technical support for the functioning of the Committee"./ CNA
