Prime Minister Edi Rama was present at the 35th anniversary of the Socialist Party in Shkodra.

In his speech, Rama also focused on the current protests and the work done by his party during the years it has been in government.

The leading socialist said that the majority of the population sees what the government has done for Albania and for the national flag.

Focusing on the protests, Rama said that it is not yet known what they want, given that he hears all sorts of things.

Regarding environmentalists who have reacted to the investment in Zvërnec, Rama raised the question of where environmentalists were when illegal hunting was taking place in Albania.

"We are stronger than ever. There is no question that flamingos will be thrown down our throats and they will say that the patronageists and the administration have gathered there. This meeting connects us with what is and the legend of this fortress, the legend of those who tried to build the day and of those who destroyed the night.

The majority of Albanians are now very clear and very determined to see this historic mission through to the end, which fate has willed to be in our hands, and it is our honor to see it through to the end.

The majority sees what we have done for Albania, for our rural areas, what we have done for our national flag. It is easy to talk about the flag and easier to be a patriot. Even easier to sing patriotic songs, but it is not at all related to patriotism to use all of this to attack and to do your best, to gather and throw all the stones at those who do not think like you, but are in the task of leadership because the majority elected them and did not elect you. This is not patriotic. The question that naturally arises when you see all this that is happening is what they want. What do you not hear. There was a patriot who said that Rama has deliberately lowered the prices of plane tickets. What does he want, to increase the prices of tickets? This is a country where everything is said and no one listens.

They woke up one day and suddenly everyone became environmentalists and are asking me to save Albania. Where were they when illegal hunting was rampant and birds and animals were being killed every day? Where were they when Albania had a garbage import law in force? Where were they when the only bird heard in the forests was a chainsaw?

I am with them and for those who are doing their best to take hostage and lead them in an unknown direction that moment of concern of many citizens who suddenly felt before an alarm and had to do something. Suddenly they found out that there is a diabolical plan to sell Albania, to destroy a habitat and to level a protected area and to bring Palestinians, Israelis or concrete masses there. I understand them the first day, the second, but I don't understand them anymore when they go after Berihaj. They forget who they are dealing with. I mean myself, our government. They forget that they are dealing with a force that you can criticize for many things, but no one can ever point the finger at it as a force that has ever betrayed the national interest.
