Journalist Artan Hoxha said today that two currents have emerged from the citizen protests against the government, now after 40 days in the square.
While commenting on the issue in a television studio, Hoxha stated that the first group wants an assembly, while the other group wants a "headless" protest.
According to Hoxha, an escalation of the protest will serve the government more than the citizens themselves.
"I see two currents there. Several points are read, but the question is how they will be realized. The first group demands an assembly, but there is a problem: can it represent the protest? The other group says to continue as a headless protest, a citizen protest that demands a change in the political system and the removal of the prime minister. As for escalation, it is a weaker group. I think there should be a quick movement to demonstrate strength. They made the demonstration of strength late and with a small group. If you go with 200 people and with garbage cans, the police will take money. But if you go with 10,000 people to the Parliament, the police have nothing to do. This kind of escalation, in the end, went more in favor of the government than the protesters. And what I was afraid of was that we should not give the government the opportunity to film a small group of people with a drone. I hope that in September the protest will be refocused, just like it happened in Serbia," said Hoxha./CNA
