Murder of Egli Proga/ Prosecution closes investigations

Two years after the murder of Egli Proga, the Korça Prosecutor's Office has closed the investigations and sent the case for trial against 5 people.

Upon completion of the investigations, the prosecution has charged Denis Meçe and Leonidha Guçe with intentional murder committed in collaboration, while Arjan Manellari, Voltan Shkulaku and Andi Shkulaku are charged with failure to report a crime committed in collaboration and committing acts that impede the disclosure of the truth.

The Korça Court has imposed the security measure "house arrest" on the two accused of intentional murder committed in collaboration, while the other three accused are being investigated with lighter security measures, mandatory appearance.

Forensic medical expertise confirmed that the 42-year-old had died as a result of cerebral hemorrhage in the brain membrane caused by the punch. In addition to the forensic medical expertise, the prosecution supported the charge against the persons involved in the murder also on the evidence and expertise of the cameras of businesses located near the scene of the incident.
